I have experienced network lag since the release of this game. I have tried different servers with ping less than 30ms on both a 20mbs and a 1.4mbs connection. The lag is to extent of making my shots delayed as in, I fire my weapon and in ranging from .5-2.5 seconds, the bullets will come out and strike a surface. NOTE: i am doing this at point blank range to surfaces close to my character. Also, characters actions like switching firing modes, crouching, changing from tactical movement to non tactical, sprinting, going prone and standing up, and reloading all have significant delay from when i press the appropriate key.
I have a very good computer and the problem is not FPS lag i think it's 100% network related.
Can anyone help me? I would like to play this game because i like what it is supposed to be.
Specs:
Intel core 2 quad @ 3.2ghz
ATI 4870 1gb
4gb ddr2 ram
WD Caviar Black HDD 640GB
Asus P5Q PRO Mobo
Windows 7 Pro x64
the game runs through STEAM

Find a server that you want to play
Write down the IP address
Join the server, if you get lag, disconnected or kicked
Go to Start...Run...Type:cmd
Then at the DOS Prompt Type:Tracert ipaddress
(ipaddress is the one of the server)
After the tracert says complete, Right Click in the DOS window and choose select all
Go up to the top left corner choose
Choose Copy
Come back to this post and Right Click and Choose Paste

no i dont think so because they have ping of over 100 for me. Im in upstate NY

sorry, was thinking that binghamton was in England.

Hop #5 isn't helping, any idea what that is, perhaps main link off campus?
