What exactly are you looking for? Are you looking to host your own server for your website or are you looking for someone who hosts Linux webservers? First off, if you're looking to host your own as a beginner, I would highly advise against it. They're not that difficult to get up and running, but unless you know how to lock it down properly, your server will be hacked to pieces within your first week. And that's no fun to fix. If you're looking to rent one, your best bet would be to hit Google and find a web host that provides you with what you need. If you need something basic, GoDaddy's services are cheap and easy to use. Especially if you also use them to register your domain.

disagree.
in terms of risk/performance ratio[let alone cost] rented servers is fail/fail way.
if guy want to setup own server/business/family[and etc and etc], let him go !!
there are alot of danger on virtually ANY path on lives of mortal, so there is no point to fear and cry about.
we all already dead, so move on, move ! live, while you can, before is too late for that.
