so i guess its not 100% guarantee to work for everyone, but it has been working for me.

[old fix]1st ill describe my problem:
since day one whenever i tried to get in a multiplayer game or a training mission my game just froze as soon as i clicked. this last day ive been trying to find solutions messing up with files and such with my installed game, ill i decided to just make a clean install.

after i made a clean install i could get in a server, but as i left the server i had the problem again. so i said to myself i should try again, so again reinstalled with a clean version and yes! it worked again.
so at this point i have decided why not install it twice on 2 different folders and then compare the game files before and after i play a server ( to see which files has been added/modified) and by theory incase i delete or replace the files that was added/changed with the clean install filed, it should work. so i changed everything and yes idd it worked.

so i kept doing that each time removing one thing less until i pinpointed the problem!

the 1 thing that made all this trouble was a file named:

Quote:

aa3_edata.client.fmap

which is located at:

DeployVersion: UsArmy/Americas Army3/Binaries/
SteamVersion: Steam/Steamapps/Common/Americas Army3/Binaries/

when i delete this file, i can get in any multiplayer server without any freeze.

so whoever got the same problem, try deleting this single file and see if it helps.

o btw, you gonna have to delete it after every time you play in a server. so if you leave a server you gonna need to exit game delete file and go in again.

please report if it helped or not.

seems like this fix is helping many others in both Deploy and Steam version , which is great.

[UPDATE]
ok so tx to SHutch and SoldierOfTruth, we found a permanent fix for this problem. what Shutch did was taking the aa3_edata.client.fmap file from his friend which never had problems with the game. and as soon he replaced his file with his he had no problems.

he was kind enough to upload it for share. so i downloaded to try and it works perfectly , no more need to delete or exit game to go in servers. ( now i must worn you, inside the file its only gibrish and no one really knows what it contains, i personally doubt its something important BUT I DONT REALLY KNOW).

he hosted it in rapidshare i uploaded it to a direct link which you can find here:

just copy and paste it in the the binaries folder and it will work.

**not taking any responsibility of dmg which it may or may not cause to .... anything? ^^

if you do not trust this file its understandable, just ask someone you trust with a working file to send you his file version.

I tested this remedy with 2 people who had constant non-stop freezing when joining a server. It seems to have worked. I will look into this further.. thanks for this by the way.

I would like to also confirm this works thanks Havent been able to play since it launched cos of the freeze now on multiplay servers atleast it works - Havent tried training as we were asked to refrain from using it

Well i worked once got kicked out of server because my personal jacket couldnt get recieved closed the game again deleted this file retried again loads mission but before i get in server i get loading screen back to first screen

that might be cause server was full. but atlist you weren't frozen D:
