A former spokesman for the racist, anti-semetic nation of Islam who was supported by the terrorist fund raising propaganda group CAIR, has been elected to congress! Keith Ellison won the Minnesota 5th district seat.

During a live camera shot right at the beginning of his acceptance speech the crowd broke out in shouts of Allahu Akbar. Ellison looked pretty uncomfortable and nervous when this happened and the camera quickly cut away back to the local newscasters in the studio. Then you can see how shocked and awkward the newscasters are as they try to explain away that it's not about religion - clearly they are totally unprepared and have no idea what to say but they do a medicore job of changing the subject and moving on.

Check out the video here, while it's still online. I have emailed the station to ask them to release the entire video from the speech but I don't have much hope that will happen.

Do you think when the Capitol is forced to shut down 5 times a day for prayer that people will wake up then? Unfortunately by that time it will be too late I'm afraid.....

*Although technically Muslims are not contained in one race--in fact, most are Asian--people tend to mean Arabs when they're talking about Muslims

Obviously you don't know what Allahu Akbar means, or represents to Muslims.
Allahu Akbar
It's the same as Christians saying "Praise God" or Catholics "Peace be with you"

It's a religious phrase, religious people use to express their feelings toward God.
What the big deal.
To think any other way in this situation is racist.

See, if you would have used a capital N before I could have realized that you were talking about the Lost-Found Nation of Islam aka Black Muslims.

So I finished reading the rest of your post and it turns out your real problem is not the guy's history but his religion. And you have weird fantasies about a Muslim-ruled American Congress because ONE of its 500+ members believes in Allah. This percentage doesn't even reflect the muslim population in your country. A country that grants Freedom of Religion to any of its citizens.

I should have stopped reading where I stopped first time.

Yeah Farrakan is quite the racist, but hey... as long the new congressman never supported any Bush administration legislation and doesn't support the war in Iraq we should be fine. Right?

I wonder what his views are on TOS marriage, stem cells, abortion?

I guess none of that really matters either, as long as he doesn't have one of those evil puppy stomping "(R)'s"after his name.

I'm supprised that there hasn't been a Muslim member of congress untill now. Especialy given the large Muslim population in areas such as Detroit.

We don't want the capitol to shut down 5 times a day, especially since they only work from Tuesday to Thursday to begin with. Nevermind that there are only two 5-minute prayers during office hours, apparently they will shut it down 5 times anyway.
